Dr. Maninder Badyal, Doctor of Chiropractic(D.C.)
Dr. Maninder Badyal is the founder of Absolute Health & Wellness Clinic and has been in full time practice in the lower mainland since 2005. Dr. Badyal achieved his Bachelor of Science degree from the University College of the Cariboo in Kamloops, B.C. Dr. Badyal was also a member of the men’s varsity soccer team during his four years in university where he won a Canadian collegiate national championship with the team. He was also named the scholar athlete of the year for displaying exceptional talent on the field while maintaining a high GPA in the classroom. After finishing his undergraduate degree, Dr. Badyal attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto where he completed the four year Doctor of Chiropractic programme in 2005 with clinic honours.
Dr. Badyal stresses the patient’s overall health and wellness when treating them. He takes the patient’s medical history; conducts physical, neurological, and orthopedic examinations and may order a special test such as an x ray to obtain the correct diagnosis. He recognizes that many factors affect health, including exercise, diet, rest, environment, and heredity and may recommend changes in lifestyle to his patients. Dr. Badyal treats people with the use of spinal manipulative therapy, soft tissue therapy, exercises, stretches, modalities such as electrotherapy and ultrasound, foot orthotic therapy, and various other forms of treatment that are designed specifically for each patient. Dr. Badyal is certified in advanced gait analysis and prescription orthotic therapy and can provide a professional exam and casting for those patients requiring prescription orthotics. When appropriate and in the best interest of his patients, Dr. Badyal consults with and refers patients to other health care practitioners.
Dr. Badyal treats a wide diversity of different patients from high performance athletes to geriatric patients and is always welcoming new patients. Dr. Badyal accepts ICBC, WCB, and private patients.

Nansy Dhingra, Registered Physiotherapist
Nansy Dhingra is a licensed physical therapist in British Columbia with the Masters of Physiotherapy in Neurology. After completing her graduation in 2007, she worked in both the hospital and the private settings gaining invaluable experience working with the patients with the Whiplash injuries(WAD), Repetitive strains, Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Post-op rehab, Stroke rehab, Neurological disorders and Chronic pain. She is also taking patients covering ICBC, WCB, private insurance and MSP.
She is keen to continuously improve her education and attended number of National and International workshops, conferences and seminars on manual therapy, hand therapy, PNF and cerebral palsy. Nansy’s strength is her ability to listen to her clients and provide the education they need to have a successful outcome. She feels the most important aspect of rehabilitation is good communication between client and the physiotherapist. It is the relationship where both the parties have to complete their assigned tasks. Treatments usually involve using manual therapy and therapeutic modalities for pain and instructions in an exercise program for the strengthening and stretching of the muscles, ligaments and the tendons to complete the treatment plan.
Nansy is a firm believer in practicing what you preach. She loves to be active including yoga, running and working out. She also believes in running a balanced lifestyle and the importance of spending time with family and friends.
One of the things Nansy likes the most about her job is treating a variety of conditions: you never know what injury will come in next. This keeps the job exciting and never monotonous. Nansy is currently excepting new patients and is always available to answer your questions.
Dawinder Sumra, RMT
Dawinder (Dovie) graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy. He specializes in both motor vehicle- and sport- related injury rehabilitation. Dawinder employs various massage techniques to better serve his patients no matter if it is an injury or just relieving tension.
As a sport enthusiast, Dawinder has played and coached soccer for over 25 years. His experiences have helped him gain a deeper understanding of how a sport can affect the body and how rehabilitation is vital to recovery.
Dawinder is fluent in English and Punjabi, and he is also semi-proficient in Hindi. Dawinder is currently accepting new patients.
Ryan Hamman, RMT
(Registered Massage Therapist)
Born and raised in BC, Ryan Hamman has been a Registered Massage Therapist now for the past three years. He attended the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in New Westminster, BC from 2005 to 2008. He has had experience in sports massage at UBC, taken part in various outreaches in Vancouver, as well as participated in inreaches with patients who have Multiple Sclerosis. Always striving to learn and grow personally as well as professionally, Ryan likes to stay up to date on continuing education courses as well as reading up on new research and techniques relevant to his practice. Putting the patient’s needs first is of utmost importance and by listening to the patient he finds it easier to construct a treatment plan based on patient needs and symptoms. Focusing mainly on Swedish and deep tissue, Ryan also has had training in myofascial techniques, muscle energy, and basic craniosacral therapy. Over the past three years, Ryan has had a vast amount of experience in working with pregnant women and new mothers and helping to educate them on correct posture and sleeping habits. Ryan believes he has always had a natural talent for massage and that there is a healing power in the human touch. He also believes the patient should play an active role in their own health and rehabilitation in order to achieve the most successful outcome. His passions include playing soccer and music, as well as golf in his spare time.

Priya Sharma, RMT
(Registered Massage Therapist)
Priya Sharma, RMT, is a 2014 graduate of Massage Therapy Program of Vancouver Career College and is the 3rd place winner of the August 2014 Clinical Case Report Awards by Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia (RMTBC). Her article “Massage therapy and essential tremor: to abate the symptoms” has been published and can be viewed on RMTBC’s website.
Priya is passionate about how the body heals innately and how it functions in the resence of diverse stressors. She believes that supporting the body’s ability can restore its strength and balance in areas of injury and pain.
Priya loves that massage therapy gives her the opportunity to work with a various group of patients and to assist them as they work toward their goals for good health and balanced lifestyles. To meet each patient’s individual needs, Priya blends a diverse set of modalities and techniques including but not limited to: a thorough assessment, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point release, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and muscle energy technique.
Outside of work, Priya enjoys dancing, reading, and learning new things. Priya is currently enrolled in Thompson Rivers University as a student in the Bachelors in Health Science program.
